SUSTAINABILITY

We are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015. The "SDGs" are a comprehensive agenda that aims to address social, economic and environmental challenges and create a better future for all people and the planet. Our efforts (in the small_in the everyday) should contribute to building a more sustainable and just society.

With this in mind, we would like to talk about what we can do and how we can contribute. With timeless design as the basis of our creative work, we want to contribute to making the products from our joinery more durable. Timeless design is an excellent choice for creating products that remain attractive and relevant over time. By focusing on durability, we also help to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.

Here are some examples of how we make our joinery products more durable.

High quality materials: We use high-quality wood and other materials that are strong and durable. This makes our products better able to withstand daily use and wear, and they develop a natural patina over time.

Careful workmanship: We pay attention to precise workmanship and quality craftsmanship. A solid basic knowledge and careful execution ensure that the products are strong and durable.

Functional design: We design with functionality and practical use in mind. By designing products that meet users' needs and work well, we increase their lifespan.

Timeless design: We choose designs that transcend trends and fashions. A timeless design has a timeless aesthetic that will continue to appeal for many years to come. This reduces the likelihood of the product looking dated and needing to be replaced.

Care instructions: Our product care guides show how to look after the products properly and help extend their life.

Customised solutions: We also offer customisation options. By taking into account the specific needs and preferences of our customers, we can create products that better fit their lifestyle and therefore last longer.

We manufacture all our products in Vienna, Austria with a small, friendly team in our purpose-built carpentry workshop.
This has several advantages:

Local production: By producing locally, we can better control the quality of our products and ensure they meet the highest standards. We also support the local economy and create jobs in our community.

Working with a small team: A small team allows for closer collaboration and a more efficient exchange of ideas and information. This allows us to ensure a high level of attention to detail and quality.

Friendly working environment: A small and friendly team creates a pleasant working environment where people feel comfortable and can give their best. This has a positive effect on productivity and the quality of our products.

Proximity to customers: Manufacturing in Vienna also allows us to build a close relationship with our customers. We can better understand and respond to their needs and requirements. This enables us to offer tailor-made solutions and improve customer service.

Uniqueness: As a local joinery, we can offer products that embody local identity and authenticity. This can be particularly attractive to you if you value uniqueness and individuality.

We choose our raw materials, suppliers and partners with great care. Our aim is to make even more sustainable and environmentally friendly choices in the manufacture of our products, without compromising on quality, aesthetics and functionality.

Sustainable materials: We use sustainable raw materials such as certified wood from responsibly managed forests. We look for FSC or PEFC certification to ensure sustainable forest management. We also consider alternative materials that are more environmentally friendly, such as recycled or recyclable materials. Our stone worktops are European stone from the Alpine region. Not to mention sustainable and durable appliances from Miele and Bora.

Eco-friendly surface treatments: We use environmentally friendly, solvent-free bio-oils. These options are often less harmful to the environment and human health.

Suppliers and partners with a commitment to sustainability: We choose suppliers and partners who are environmentally conscious themselves. By working closely with our partners, we can ensure that the materials and components they supply also meet the desired sustainability criteria.

Reducing waste and energy consumption: We constantly review our production processes and look for ways to minimise waste and reduce energy consumption. We optimise the use of materials and implement recycling-friendly practices.

Life Cycle Consideration: We consider the entire life cycle of our products, from manufacture to use and disposal. We consider maintenance, repairability and recyclability in product development.

The ultimate goal is to create products that have a long service life and can be disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
